projects

The PTA officers meeting revolved around the following discussions and decisions:
I. PTA Projects for S.Y.2021-2022 solicit
A. Junior High School Fundraiser
Prodigy Discovery School is targeting to open up its Junior High School on school year 2023-2024. As part of its preparation to seek approval from the DepEd, four (4) classrooms have to be constructed. With the approval of the PTA Officers and Class Representatives during its virtual meeting, the Junior High School Fundraiser Project was cast. This project was approved in effort to avoid overextending the Prodigy budget in regards to loans.
It is our desire to provide opportunity to our Prodigy families and Prodigy Alumni to be involved in the realization of our High School Plan. The proceeds will go to the materials needed for the construction of the junior high school building. As shown in the picture below, materials are itemized so you can choose which one you want to donate. Donations may vary from a single hollow block to a whole classroom. Even our students can take part of this project if they’re willing to. A big project as this will become lighter if there are people willing to help carry the load. Prodigy Discovery School is so blessed to have generous families around!
For interested donors, you may visit the finance office or for more details you may contact the school’s Admin office. An oversized tarp will be hung in the school’s entrance to show you the progress of this fundraising project.
The campaign will run from December 1, 2021 to January 31, 2022. Watch for updates in your class group chats, emails, and the Prodigy Facebook Page and website. For those who wish to hep solicit to their friends or local business organizations, feel free to communicate with Ma’am Angel and she can supply you with our formal solicitation letter and advertisement.
B. PTA Projects funded by the PTA Annual Dues
1. Adjustable Chairs with wheels for teachers.
Since the beginning of online class, many of the teachers were stacking their chairs to position themselves in a centered position on their computer camera. This sitting position was creating bad posture, back aches, etc. This sitting position also lessened the teacher’s movability and accessibility when trying to use the whiteboard while sitting. The purchase of the adjustable chair solves these problems. Now, thanks to you, the teachers can have good posture, as well as, be efficient in teaching using the whiteboard.
2. Medical Supplies for the New Norm
In preparation for the new normal face-to-face classes, the school has to comply with the requirements mandated by DepEd. Some of these are oxygen tank, oximeter, nebulizer, PPE, etc.
3. Playground Equipment
Now that the permanent ramp entrance will be finished, finalization of the playground area can be implemented. Left over money from the above purchases will be allocated for playground development.

We offer a complete pre-school curriculum, which promotes learning through play and discovery activities that are developmentally appropriate for your child. At this early age, we use a hands-on approach with curricular activities that are frequent, in order to keep the child’s attention and provide the most learning and productivity. It is our desire that our preschoolers are happy and comfortable in the school environment all the while gaining knowledge and awareness of their surroundings.
As the first official year registered with the Department of Education, our Kindergarten Course reflects much of the same educational foundations as that of the Preschool Course. Students are introduced to a formal opening program with the respect to God, country, school, and classmates. It is our desire that as they are presented with knowledge of basic subjects, they will be encouraged to interact, explore, and discover the world they live.

Our Elementary Course caters to a more formal classroom setup and longer academic sessions. It is our goal to provide an intellectual environment where students are taught how to interact with knowledge for the best possible outcome. By providing challenging learning activities that are conducive to his/her own learning style, we pave the way for establishing a curious attitude for a lifetime of learning.

It's Official! The Board of Trustees and Admin Team of Prodigy Discovery School announce that the Junior High Department will open on School Year 2023-2024!
Prodigy prides itself in its Co-Curricular and Extra-Curricular Activities -- Clubs, School Spirit Week, Buwan Ng Wika, SPG, etc! These activities are designed to enhance and develop confidence in a child as he uses the talents and skills God has given. We encourage students to use such activities as a way to be pro-active and get involved in their areas of interest. It is our desire that Prodigy students do not stand by and let life pass them, but to be a part in making life happen!
